The Jam Cellar Lindy Hop Class & Dance

- Knock on Wood, Urban Artistry, Capitol Tap, Good Foot Dance Company and Coyaba Dance Theater celebrate the intersections and commonalities between American, African, and urban percussive traditions. Entry level tap workshop starts at 6:30, followed by a brief tap history discussion at 7:15pm. The jam, open to dancers of all kinds and hosted by Baakari Wilder of Capitol Tap and Russell "Ironman" Campbell of Urban Artistry, is from 7:30 to 9:30pm.

It's everything you would ever want in an adult playground, bringing together cutting edge programming centered on live performances, art exhibitions, and workshops, including graffiti, parcours, djs, skateboarding, music, dancing and more. Through this creative culture, Urban Artistry and Eighty Eight aim to unite artists, attendees, and the greater D.C. community in cultivating a caring, conscious society interested in pro-actively pushing things forward.
